| Context Analysis |
This phase is marked by an intensive research action, aimed at the editing of a range of National Reports
that will be used to elaborate the Comparative Analysis Report that will introduce the Handbook for
counselling and guidance operators.
After the identification of criteria (variables and indicators) useful to determine the territorial units
features that have to be considered in order to carry out all reports, will be crated a grid describing the
features of drop out "meeting points".
By interviewing the owners of these places (sporting, restorative, ricreative, training, information, guidance
and employment facilities) the research and analysis action will be aimed at: understanding the attraction
elements that characterize this places (e.g: accessibility, visibility, informality); quantify the young
drop out "frequenting flows".
The action research is not merely aimed at creating a describing report, analytical or epistemological,
but it is directed to the working out of all operative tools expected:
Handbook for counselling and guidance operators, consisting of three sections concerning:
- classification of gathering places;
- relational methods with gathering places owners;
- suggestions for the carring out of surveys concerning the actual services and facilities offer, in order to single out the kind of improvement and adjustment to be made consistently with the project target.

GOALS
- To identify features pertaining the social and economic context where drop out phenomenon exists.
- To set up territorial analysis implements;
- To classify the different typologies of places where drop out cluster;
- To classify the current education and information services supplies, including all typologies usable also in formal and informal contexts.
- To disseminate activities outputs by managers and operators involved in the field of educational counselling, training, social and professional inclusion of young drop out.
RESULTS
- Arrangement of a model apt to supplement the information related to the area where counselling, training and youth employment guidance operators works.
- Arrangement of a describing-interpreting equipment useful to transfer to facilitators new competences in the field of social research methodologies and techniques and relational and communication skills, in order to face new typologies of interlocutors.
